About
I am the founder and principal of Siedschlag Advisory, a consulting practice to help organizations navigate communications challenges, crises, and regulatory uncertainty.
I previously led communications, programs, and crisis responses at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.
At DOE, I was the chief communications strategist for the Home Energy Rebates, an $8.8 billion program to help households pay for energy efficiency upgrades.
At EPA, where I served from 2010-2023, I worked across the agency’s core environmental programs—from chemical safety to Superfund to water infrastructure to air quality.
What I Bring
-
Crisis leadership under pressure. I managed EPA’s crisis communications response for disinfectants during the Covid pandemic, and I’ve also managed communications for high-profile Superfund cleanups, natural disasters, and countless regulatory rollouts that faced intense opposition.
Strategic communications that move things forward. At DOE, I developed a communications strategy that helped accelerate an $8.8 billion program by making each state’s progress public. Funding applications and program launches rapidly accelerated.
Cross-cutting expertise. Moving across EPA programs taught me how to quickly understand new technical domains, navigate different organizational cultures, and foster collaboration across the agency.
Programmatic and operational acumen. I’ve built and led teams, managed budgets, designed processes, and executed complex projects. I’ve also jumpstarted a $375 million grant program, redesigned EPA’s state oversight program to make it 40 percent more efficient, and led massive digital transformations.
Relationship capital across three administrations. I built relationships with political leadership, career staff, state regulators, industry, trade associations, NGOs, and the White House.
